Missing States
Analyze your flows for missing paths and states

Step 1
Open Flow Analysis
Analyse your designs for missing interaction states — empty states, error states, loading states, and edge cases your users might hit.
Step 2
Select Missing States
Choose Missing States as your project type. This mode is built for reviewing a set of screens to identify gaps in the flow that may need to be designed.
Step 3
Select Frames
Pick up to 6 frames that represent the flow or feature you want to cover — a checkout sequence, an onboarding screen, a key interaction. These form the basis of your analysis.
Step 4
Run Analysis
Floto reviews your selected frames and identifies interaction states that haven’t been designed — empty states, error states, loading states, edge cases. It works through your frames and surfaces what’s missing.
Step 5
Pop Out Missing States
Your results appear as a clear list of unaddressed states with detail on each. Place them back on your canvas as a design brief for what to add next.
