What is Floto?
Floto is an AI feedback tool for product designers, starting inside Figma. It helps teams audit designs, test screens with synthetic personas, validate prototype flows, and compare designs against live implementations before shipping.
Who is Floto for?
Floto is built for product designers, UX teams, founders, product managers, and design-led teams who want faster feedback while they are still working in Figma.
How does Floto work with Figma?
Install Floto from the Figma Community, open it from the Plugins menu, select a frame or prototype, choose the feedback workflow you need, and run the test. Results can be reviewed in the plugin and placed back into your Figma file so feedback stays close to the design.
What can I test with Floto?
You can run Design Audits, Persona Tests, Flow Tests, and Design Diffs. Each workflow is designed for a different feedback moment: screen-level critique, audience reaction, journey validation, or implementation QA.
What is a Design Audit?
A Design Audit reviews a selected Figma frame for UX, accessibility, usability, hierarchy, copy, visual clarity, and other design issues. Floto returns a score and a prioritized list of fixes.
What audit types are available?
Floto supports audit types including Usability, Copy & Microcopy, Accessibility for WCAG 2.2, and Accessibility for EN 301 549. Choose the audit type based on the kind of feedback you need.
What is Persona Testing?
Persona Testing lets you simulate feedback from different user types. You can use suggested personas, edit them to match your audience, or create personas from scratch, then ask questions about how they respond to a screen.
Are synthetic personas a replacement for real users?
No. Synthetic personas are best for fast directional feedback, early critique, and exploring how different audiences may react. They help you improve before investing time in live user research.
What is Flow Testing?
Flow Testing reviews an interactive Figma prototype against a user goal, such as signing up, completing checkout, or finding pricing. Floto walks through the journey and highlights where users may hesitate, get confused, or drop off.
What is Design Diff?
Design Diff compares a Figma design against a live implementation. It helps teams catch differences in spacing, typography, layout, colors, sizing, and other visual details before users see them.
Do I need the Figma plugin, Chrome extension, or both?
For design audits, persona tests, and flow tests, use the Figma plugin. For Design Diff, you need to use the Figma plugin along with the Chrome extension to compare a Figma frame with a live URL.
How long does it take to get feedback?
Most workflows are designed to return feedback in minutes. Design Audits can be run in under a minute, while Flow Testing and Design Diff depend on the complexity of the prototype or page being tested.
How does pricing work?
Floto uses credits. Free users get 200 credits every week. Pro users get 1,500 credits per month, no rate limits, and the option to buy additional credit packs. Teams get pooled credits, shared personas, and priority support.
How many credits does each feature use?
Design Audit costs 20 credits per audit. Persona Testing costs 50 credits per test. Flow Testing costs up to 200 credits per flow. Design Diff costs 25 credits per diff.
Do free credits roll over?
Free weekly credits refresh every Monday and do not carry over. Purchased top-up credits do not expire.
Can I use Floto with a team?
Yes. The Teams plan includes multiple seats, pooled credits, shared personas, and priority support, making it easier for design teams to test and improve work together.
Can I revoke Floto’s access?
Yes. You can revoke Floto’s Figma permissions through your Figma account settings. You can also contact hello@floto.ai for privacy or account-related requests.
Does Floto support accessibility reviews?
Yes. Floto includes accessibility-focused audits, including WCAG 2.2 and EN 301 549 checks, helping teams find accessibility issues earlier in the design process.
Can Floto test global or localized audiences?
You can create or customize personas to reflect different user types, regions, roles, ages, and contexts. The product UI is currently in English, but persona testing can be tailored to the audiences you want to understand.
How often is Floto updated?
Floto is updated regularly, with product changes published in the changelog. Recent updates include Design Diff, new audit types, Flow Testing availability, updated credit rules, and improvements to audit and persona workflows.
How is data processed and stored? Are there privacy measures for different regions?
All data is encrypted in transit and at rest, processed on secure servers. Floto does not share client files or feedback without explicit consent. Future updates may add in-region data residency as required by local law.
